The third quarter of 2022 saw varied performances among the top personal finance budgeting and planning apps on the Android platform in Malta. Here’s a closer look at the weekly trends in downloads, revenue, and active users for five leading apps in this category, according to data from Sensor Tower.

YNAB experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, beginning the quarter with $26 and peaking at $45 in the last week of September. Downloads were sporadic, with only a few weeks showing activity, such as 11 downloads at the end of June and 10 in mid-July.

Wallet: Budget Expense Tracker demonstrated consistent weekly downloads, ranging from 20 to 37 throughout the quarter. Revenue showed a significant spike, particularly in the last week of August with $37, and again in mid-September with $35, before settling at $26 by the end of September.

Mobills: Budget Planner had a steady revenue increase, starting at $19 in late June and reaching $34 by the end of September. Downloads were minimal, with only one recorded download in mid-September.

Bankin' saw modest revenue growth, starting at $14 in late June and peaking at $26 in mid and late September. However, there were no recorded downloads during the entire quarter.

Money Lover - Spending Manager showed modest revenue, starting at $12 in late June and peaking at $21 in mid and late September. Similar to Bankin', there were no significant downloads recorded throughout the quarter.
